About Jenna

The role of District Attorney requires day one readiness.

Jenna Earley is a career prosecutor whose experience in the courtroom and leadership in the criminal justice system have prepared her to step into the role of District Attorney on day one – not to learn the job, but to continue doing it. She is currently the First Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Prosecutorial District (Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus Counties), where she maintains a full caseload while helping lead the team of dedicated individuals who make up that office. Prior to her tenure in the 15th Prosecutorial District, Jenna was a prosecutor in Alamance County, serving in leadership roles in that office as well.

For the majority of her career, Jenna has focused on cases involving sexual assault/abuse/exploitation and child physical abuse and, in more recent years, has broadened that focus to homicides. Since December 2024 alone, she has tried 4 first-degree murder cases, all to guilty verdicts. Jenna believes in being a voice for victims, maintaining a police-prosecutor team approach to investigations and prosecutions, and leading from the front. It is that experience that equips her to spearhead complex investigations, achieve maximum justice in the courtroom, develop and maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement and other system stakeholders, and inspire and empower her colleagues.

Jenna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Elon University in 2007, with a Master of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington in 2010, and with a Juris Doctorate from Campbell University – Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2013. Jenna grew up in Connecticut and is the daughter of a retired Connecticut State Trooper, who served his community proudly and with honor for nearly 30 years. She has been a member of the board of directors for Hope Harbor Home, Inc. since 2021 and is a staunch supporter of the victim/survivor advocacy agencies throughout Bladen, Brunswick, and Columbus Counties. She lives in Leland with her husband and their son.
